On the authority of Anas, on the authority of the Prophet – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – that he said: “Blessing is in the forelocks of horses.”
Narrated by Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Hibban in his Sahih, Ibn Abd al-Barr in “Al-Tamheed” and “Al-Isthkar” and Al-Albani in “Sahih Al-Nasa’i” and “Sahih Al-Jami’” and “Al-Silsilah As-Sahihah.”
Horses are among the animals that God Almighty has blessed, and goodness has been written in them until the Day of Resurrection. Because of its benefits in this world and the hereafter. Therefore, the Messenger of God – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – cared for her, was comfortable with her, and recommended her for good.
And it came in “Sharh Sunan al-Nasa’i”: God has made blessing in it, and among its blessings is what was mentioned in the many hadiths on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, when he said: “The horses are tied in their good forelocks until the Day of Resurrection.” This indicates their blessing. The translation is the hadith of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him: “Blessing is in the forelocks of horses.” And the blessing explains another hadith that came from many ways: “The horses are knotted in their good forelocks until the Day of Resurrection.” In some narrations, it says: “The reward and the spoils.” It is a blessing whose benefit is obtained in this world and in the hereafter: in this world by obtaining the spoils and spoils that are in the jihad in the way of God, as well as the support of Islam and its people, the glory and victory of Muslims, and the same for the Hereafter; Because the great reward is in this world and in the hereafter.
