It was classed as hasan by Al-Albani in Sahih Sunan Abi Dawood, and Shuaib Al-Arnaoot in his commentary on the Musnad, and Al-Suyuti narrated it in Al-Jami Al-Kabeer, and said: It is a good hadith, and Al-Wadi’i narrated it in Al-Musnad Al-Sahih.
In the narration of Al-Tirmidhi in his Sunan, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abbas: “Yemen horses are red in color.” He is a good stranger.
