Narrated Abu Dhar Al-Ghafari – may God be pleased with him – he said: The Prophet Muhammad – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – said: “There is no Arab horse that is not authorized at every magic day with two supplications: O God, grant me the authority to be among the children of Adam, and make me his, so make me love his family and his money. – Or the one who loves his family and his money – to him.” Narrated by Imam Al-Nasa’i in “Al-Sahih”, Ahmad bin Hanbal in “Al-Musnad” with slight difference, Al-Daraqutni in “Al-Illal” and Al-Albani in “Sahih Al-Targheeb”.
It was narrated that Muawiyah bin Hadij passed by Abu Dhar while he was standing at his horse, and he asked him, “What are you treating from this horse of yours?” He said: I think that this horse has answered his call! He said: What is the supplication of one of the beasts? He said: By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, there is no horse except that he calls out every magic and says: Oh God, you have authorized me to be one of your servants, and you have placed my sustenance in his hand, so make me dearer to him than his family, his money and his children.
