Referee Sami bin Saad clarifies when to change the name of the horse
Referee Sami bin Saad said that there are some cases in which a change in the name of the horse may occur after the sale, according to the Arabian horse registration laws approved by the registration organization (WAHO) and applied by the registration offices in various member states.
Bin Saad added that the sold horses were not named, and whoever produced them sold them, while allowing the buyer to register the name as he wanted, and this is clear and has no disagreement and frequently applied, as for the other case if the sold horse is registered in the Arab horse records in the country and a registration certificate has been issued for him. And the new owner wanted to change the name, in which case the following conditions must be followed:
Conditions for changing the horse’s name
– Whoever has the right to request changing the name of the Arabian horse is the one who owns it at that time according to the official registration records.
– To change a horse’s name, you must check the following.
* The stallion / mare has no registered births.
* It was neither imported from abroad nor exported.
* He has no certification or classification in races.
* He must not have participated in approved beauty shows.
– To request a change of name, the current owner and registered in the records must submit a signed request to change the name attached with him the original registration certificate of the registration office and the new name is indicated in it.
– The new name must comply with the general conditions for the names of Arabian horses.
– Pay the name change fee (if any).
– The horse’s registration number (the horse’s main file) remains unchanged and has nothing to do with changing the name.
