“Hamdan Stables” .. One of the oldest Egyptian stables, which was known by this name in relation to the horse “Hamdan” whose owner Ahmed Pasha Hamzah fell in love with, and whose ownership belongs to the Royal Agricultural Society “and was given to King Farouk” and transferred to the stables of Anshas, where he considered it Al-Basha Hamza Al-Talouka, the principal of his farm, to return after the July 23 revolution again to the Agricultural Authority until his death.
Basha Hamza loved horse breeding, and it was his favorite pastime, and although it was confiscated after the July Revolution, by placing his possessions under guard, he bought them again when they were offered for sale from the guards auction.
“Hamza” acquired a group of strong, important and distinct mare, including “Bint Yusriya” of father “Nazeer” and “Mother Yusriya” and she is the sister of the horse “Aswan” which was gifted to Russia, “Mahasin” bint Sheikh al-Arab and “Kasbana”.
It is noteworthy that a number of members of this family were exported abroad, as the horse “Fakhr al-Khair” her grandson founded the farm “Max Wells” in England and won the French championship, as well as the horse “Fakhr al-Din” for father “Fakhry”, mother “Bint Munira” and the horse “Girl Al-Bataa, who traveled to the United States of America.
Ahmed Pasha Hamzah provided “Hamdan Stables” with 3 merits of Tahawiyat: “Fitna, Fella and Bint Barakat”
After the death of Ahmed Pasha Hamza, the stable was divided into: “Hamdan 1” for his son Subhi Hamza, and “Hamdan 2” for his daughter, Hajjah Fatima Hamza, who is one of the well-known horse breeders in Egypt and has a production that has achieved great fame such as the horse “Yusr Bint Yousrya”, From which she produced: “Sarah” and “Umm al-Futuh”, and her horse breeding program was vaccinated with mare from Zahra Station such as “Safra” and “Hamhama”, in addition to the mare “Ward Shah Line”, “Abyan”, and the mare “Safia” that was completed.
