When is the word “purebred” applied to a horse?
This question occupied many horse lovers and breeders, to the extent that some would travel long distances, and endure hardships in order to get an answer for it. Where important conditions have been identified that must be met in the horse in order to consider it pure:
The term “thoroughbred” is given to a horse if it is of a specific pure race, not mixed, has elegant environment descriptions, and is unique with features and qualities inherent to it, and this is the complete model of a riding horse, and for a horse to improve the type, and they also raise it for the sake of racing.
When the intent of production was doubled with other races of horses, half of the Thoroughbred was produced, and the first thing that mentions the Arab Thoroughbred came from it the English Thoroughbred who today has the highest rank in the race in the fields of the world. Other horses are used in the “trot” race in Russia, America and elsewhere, and they consider them as purebred because of their special features.
Al-Aseel Al-Arabi
Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq defines the “Arabian thoroughbred” as: the model of the riding horse, and it is found in the Arabian Peninsula and neighboring countries such as Egypt, Syria and Persia, and what was truly pure and pure without a mixture represents the highest model in the supremacy of its race and is distinguished by all horse races at all In appearance or in qualities, from nobility to gracefulness to strength and “his features are the highest and most beautiful of what I have seen,” according to Samson and others.
Concerning the preferred qualities of horses among the Easterners, he says: The oriental demands in the Arabian Thoroughbred from the point of view of the good that he be small-headed, broad-shaped, thin-eared, separated by a story sent to the eyes, wide-eyed, their vigilance and brightness indicate boldness and aggressiveness, surrounded by blackness like kohl. The nose is wide with two conditions, redness is seen inside them, with a neck similar in shape to the neck of a sea pelican, with a good chest filled with strong backs curved slightly inward, with a wavy tail raised, “tangled” hanging down, with light legs without a defect, with a thin transparent skin that reveals Veins and muscles if the horse moves.
The Arabs express that pure horse with kahil and purebred, and the word kahil is derived from Kahilan, and it is said that the title of the pure branched from the horses of Solomon, peace be upon him, and this is the claim of the Arabs and their claim in the lineage of their purebred horses.
The three famous types that excel in the Arabian puree are:
(1) The old Al-Kheilan.
(2) Al-Dahman Al-Shahwan.
(3) Al-Saqlawi.
And the Arabs, unlike the Europeans, care more about the female than the male.
And the original in the language is of origin, and it is regrettable that the Arabs do not have the same as what others have in the book of S.BOOK for the original in which they constantly and regularity of its origin and lineage, but rather they depend in that on the narration and the testimonies of their sheikhs and their tribal leaders.
Prince Muhammad Ali Tawfiq clarifies in his message that despite this deficiency, horses with their feet and skin were famous among the Arabs, so they were released with their qualities and were good in the tongues of poets, so they composed poems to praise them.
He says: I found a lot of this kind in the books left by my good male predecessor Abbas Pasha I, the governor of Egypt, who brought many beautiful horses from the Arab countries that won praise, and those who know about the issue of horses say that he had the best horses.
As for the colors of horses, what is considered is the black or the most adham because it is the rarest in the Arab countries, especially in the pure blood. Therefore, the Arabs refer to it as the chiefs’ ride, followed by the dark red horse, the black hair of the tail and the legs with black knowledge called “Kate”.
It is said that the dark color is evidence of the abundance of blood, and that the knights on horseback of this color were in wars harder and stronger than others.
They are followed in order by the golden blond color, and it is said that the horses of this color are the ones that preach the good news, as the Arabs claim that during their distant travels in the depths of the desert, where the water was scarce when they were seeking to search for water, the people of this color were blowing their giblets and they were the first to bear the signs of victory. In wars.
As for the white in the horse, it is popular with the Arabs, but there is a type of white that is considered the best of them all, which is pure white like milk with black eyes, black mouth and black hooves, which is reflected from its knowledge and its tail in the shade is like a lugin and in the sun as freshness.
